01 / The process

Cultivate the conditions.

The Fungal Art Series begins with mycelium and plant-based substrates. Growth produces relief, variation and colour that cannot be specified as a repeated surface pattern. The work comes from tending those conditions and responding to what appears.

After cultivation, the surfaces are dried and finished for presentation. Close photographs show fibres and ridges at a scale the eye can miss when viewing the complete piece.

02 / The works

No two surfaces alike.

The archive spans framed pieces, close material studies and larger compositions. Some works stand alone; others enter into dialogue with furniture and interior space.

Each surface keeps the irregularities of its growth. Seen together, the works show a family resemblance without becoming a repeated motif.
