About
the project

For this collaboration, mycelium-grown surfaces are reinterpreted by Belgian painter Steven De Blieck. Colour and painterly marks encounter a surface whose structure has already been formed through growth.

The works retain both layers of authorship: the irregularity of the material and the decisions of the painter. The archive collects full compositions and details of the meeting between paint and fungal texture.
