About
the project
The chair brings mycelium into furniture at the scale of a complete seat. Rounded transitions and a continuous surface allow the grown material to define the object’s character.
Andy showed the chair as an experiment developed during his work at C-Biotech. His post describes a hemp-and-mycelium process and a seven-day growth period. The photographic record includes the chair on its own and with a cushion.
It is presented as a design study, without unverified load, durability or certification claims.
